JOLT - Grades 7-9

JOLT is the second phase of our leadership development curriculum, continuing to immerse participants in Jewish value-based programming and CYJ's core values. Monthly sessions (peoulot) deepen their connection to Jewish culture, heritage, Israel, and Zionism. The program fosters meaningful conversations among peers about what it means to be Jewish in today's world. Participants begin to explore their leadership potential through collaborative activities and guided discussions. They are encouraged to take initiative, build confidence, and strengthen their Jewish identity. JOLT lays the foundation for active involvement in their communities and future leadership roles.

This program is sponsored by Canadian Hadassah-WIZO & The Atlantic Jewish Council (AJC)

Youth Council – Grades 10–12

Youth Council is the third phase of our leadership development curriculum, building on Jewish value-based programming and CYJ’s core values. Monthly sessions (peoulot) further explore Jewish culture, heritage, Israel, and Zionism, while fostering peer discussions about Jewish identity today. Participants also have the opportunity to serve as junior instructors (madrichim) and lead community events.

Through hands-on experiences, they develop leadership skills and form a deeper connection to their community, helping shape the future of the Jewish local community.

Junior Program- Grades 1-6

The junior program serves as the entry point for our youngest members to engage with CYJ beyond the summer camp experience. Through fun and social monthly activities (peoulot) focused on Jewish culture and holidays, participants are introduced to Jewish value-based programming and CYJ’s core values. Our goal is to offer meaningful educational experiences that connect children to Judaism, Israel, and their heritage. The program not only fosters friendships but also builds confidence and encourages curiosity about Jewish identity. Each session is designed to be hands-on and age-appropriate, sparking joy and learning. By nurturing a sense of belonging, we help children grow into proud and engaged members of the Jewish community.
